I must be one of the luckiest people around...

I came back to London from Gosport to help my girlfriend move house. I had a bag full of gadgets (3 GPSs, camera, pda..) and the boat keys, insurance and registration certificate. And I left it on the front seat of the transit overnight... Next to Euston station... Must have been tired, or just very stupid. Of course, the inevitable happened and the next morning I found the van with one less window and one less bag. A very expensive mistake!! Especially as I went down to Gosport the next day to change the padlocks.

I got a letter 2 days later from some great people who'd found the bag and a load of stuff in the yard outside their flat. My address was on some papers so they wrote to me offering to pass the stuff back to me. I contacted them thinking I might at least get the registration certificate back and the keys. When I get there, they give me back everything!! Whoever stole the bag was so desperate for money that they only took the small seemingly high value pda (which was broken) and dumped the rest. I was amazed. After thanking the lovely people a few too many times, and feeling guilty about being suspicious about their intentions I'm back to where I was to start with plus a little bit more experience.
